Nielsen Extension DEV: An Extension for Nielsen Panelists
Nielsen Extension DEV is a Chrome extension developed by Netsight Meter QA. This extension is specifically designed for Nielsen panelists who want to contribute to the research conducted by Nielsen. By installing this extension, users can help Nielsen understand how consumers use the internet and computers by studying the types of websites they visit.
Before enabling the Nielsen Extension DEV, users must first sign up using the Nielsen Computer and Mobile Panel registration form. Without completing the registration, the extension will not function and users will not receive any rewards. Once registered, users can enable the extension on their computer.
The extension collects anonymous browser usage information, including navigation and webpage/video data, which is securely sent back to Nielsen for research purposes. It does not collect any personal information such as user IDs, passwords, or financial information. The collected data is anonymized and aggregated with data from thousands of other participating panelists before any reports are shared.
